SSC GD Constable Cut-off 2026: State-wise and Category-wise Marks
On this page

SSC declared the SSC GD Constable 2026 result on 12 October 2026 and released the state-wise cut-off with it. Of the 21,56,776 candidates who took the computer-based exam (CBE) between 27 April and 30 May 2026, 1,97,408 have been shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). That works out to about 7.7 candidates for each of the 25,487 posts.

This page gives the full SSC GD cut-off 2026 for men and women in every state, the separate SSF cut-off, last cycle's final cut-off for the main states and a realistic target score for the 2027 exam.

Key Takeaways

  • The SSC GD 2026 result and cut-off came out on 12 October 2026. All cut-offs are normalised marks out of 160.
  • 1,97,408 candidates are in the PET/PST list: 1,81,251 men and 15,782 women for state-wise posts, plus 375 men for SSF.
  • Rajasthan (126.84), Uttar Pradesh (126.14) and Haryana (122.17) had the highest UR cut-offs for men. For women, Haryana (128.42), Rajasthan (127.61) and Uttar Pradesh (125.99) led.
  • Bihar's UR cut-off is 120.61 for men and 116.03 for women. Jharkhand's is 117.99 for men and 118.84 for women.
  • SSF has the highest cut-off of all: 146.18 for UR men, on a single all-India list.
  • This is the cut-off for the physical test, not the final cut-off. PET/PST, with CRPF as the nodal force, is expected to begin in November 2026.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in SSC GD

Every candidate first has to cross SSC's minimum qualifying marks in the CBE. Only after that does the state cut-off come into play.

CategoryMinimum percentageMinimum marks (out of 160)
UR30%48
OBC and EWS25%40
All other categories (SC, ST, ESM)20%32

When a cut-off in the tables below is exactly 48, 40 or 32, SSC did not have enough qualified candidates to fill the call list for that seat, so it called everyone who crossed the minimum. You can see this for EWS men in Assam, Goa, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and for UR women in Meghalaya. For ex-servicemen, the cut-off in most states stayed at the minimum of 32 marks.

SSC GD Cut-off 2026: State-wise for Male Candidates

The table shows the PET/PST cut-off for men in general areas, rounded to two decimal places. A dash (–) means no cut-off was published for that category in that state.

Why is the OBC cut-off higher than UR in some states?

In Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, the OBC cut-off for men is higher than the UR cut-off. Among women, EWS candidates in Haryana and SC candidates in Delhi needed more than UR candidates. This is not a printing error. UR seats are open to everyone, and reserved-category candidates who score high enough are counted against UR seats. When a category has few seats of its own and many strong candidates, its cut-off can climb above UR.

Women's cut-offs were higher than men's in Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Posts for women are far fewer, so the call list is shorter and the bar goes up.

SSF Cut-off 2026 (Men, All India)

The Secretariat Security Force has a small number of posts and one all-India merit list, so its cut-off is far above any state's. This cycle's SSF list has men only.

How to Read the SSC GD Cut-off

PET-call cut-off vs final cut-off

The 12 October list is a PET-call cut-off. It decides who gets to run and be measured, not who gets the job. SSC calls several candidates per post because many drop out at the race, the height and chest check or the medical. Since every selected candidate comes from this list, the final cut-off for a seat is always at or above its PET-call cut-off, and usually well above it.

Normalised marks

The CBE ran in many shifts over five weeks, so SSC converts raw scores into normalised scores. That is why the official PDF shows cut-offs to five decimal places, and why your raw score from the answer key will not match your result exactly. NCC certificate holders get bonus marks, which SSC has added provisionally at this stage.

Tie-breaking rules

If two candidates have the same score, SSC first places the one with more marks in Part A (Reasoning) higher, then looks at Part B (General Knowledge), then date of birth (the older candidate ranks higher), and finally alphabetical order of names. Reasoning marks matter even in a tie.

General area and special areas

The tables on this page are for general-area candidates. In some states, the official PDF also lists separate cut-offs for candidates from border districts and militancy- or Naxal-affected areas, so check the row that matches your domicile.

SSC GD Final Cut-off 2025 (Previous Cycle)

The 2025 cycle had 53,690 posts, and its final result came out on 15 January 2026. Reports put the final list at 48,113 candidates (43,296 men and 4,817 women). The table below shows the final UR cut-off in the main states, that is, the lowest score at which a UR candidate got a seat in any force, as compiled from the final result annexures.

StateMen (UR)Women (UR)
Rajasthan137.35137.03
Haryana132.61138.08
Uttar Pradesh132.11131.33

Jharkhand120.05123.88
Delhi116.89122.38
West Bengal101.14103.63
Odisha96.3199.15

These final figures sit well above the 2026 PET-call cut-offs. The gap is normal and does not mean competition fell in 2026: one is a final cut-off, while the other only decides who gets called for the physical test.

What Decides the SSC GD Cut-off?

  • Posts in your state and category: vacancies are divided state-wise, so a state with more posts per candidate ends up with a lower cut-off.
  • Number of candidates: Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh send very large numbers of candidates, which keeps their cut-offs high.
  • Gender: women's posts are fewer, which often lifts their cut-off above men's.
  • Total vacancies in the cycle: the 2026 cycle had 25,487 posts against 53,690 a year earlier. Fewer posts usually mean higher final cut-offs.
  • Paper level: a tougher set of shifts pulls raw scores down, and normalisation then adjusts them across shifts.

What Is a Safe Score for SSC GD 2027?

Nobody can predict the 2027 cut-off before the vacancy figures are out. What you can do is aim above the highest recent bar in your state. The targets below take the 2025 final UR cut-off (men or women, whichever was higher) and add a small buffer.

States2025 final UR cut-off (higher of men and women)Target for UR candidates
Rajasthan, Haryana137.35, 138.08140 or more
Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh132.11, 131.93135 or more
Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh128.20, 127.90, 126.85130 or more
Jharkhand, Delhi123.88, 122.38125 or more
West Bengal, Odisha103.63, 99.15105 or more

Reserved-category candidates should look at their own row instead of subtracting a fixed number from UR, because OBC, EWS and even SC cut-offs ran close to or above UR in several states. For a section-by-section plan to reach these scores, read our SSC GD preparation strategy and booklist.

What Happens After the Cut-off?

  1. PET/PST: Men run 5 km in 24 minutes and women run 1.6 km in 8.5 minutes. In Ladakh, men run 1.6 km in 7 minutes and women run 800 metres in 5 minutes. Height (170 cm for men and 157 cm for women in general) and chest (men: 80 cm, with 5 cm expansion) are measured at the same venue. This stage is qualifying only.
  2. Medical examination and documents: candidates who clear PET/PST go through the detailed medical examination and document verification.
  3. Final merit list: SSC prepares it on the normalised CBE marks (plus NCC bonus) of candidates who clear every stage, by state, category, gender and force preference.

CRPF, the nodal force, will issue the PET/PST admit cards. The test is expected to begin in November 2026, and the official schedule is awaited. Physical standards and relaxations are explained in our SSC GD eligibility guide.

Conclusion

The SSC GD cut-off 2026 confirms what aspirants in the Hindi belt already feel. A PET call in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh or Bihar needed 120 or more out of 160 for UR men, and women in Haryana and Rajasthan needed even more. If your name is on the list, the next few weeks are about the race and the medical, not marks. If you are aiming for 2027, work toward the targets above, give reasoning and GK the time they need, and start running now instead of after the result.

FAQs

What is the SSC GD cut-off 2026 for Bihar?

For men: UR 120.61, OBC 120.44, EWS 118.02, SC 104.60 and ST 116.58. For women: UR 116.03, OBC 115.98, EWS 114.81, SC 92.92 and ST 111.33. All are normalised marks out of 160.

What is the SSC GD cut-off 2026 for Uttar Pradesh?

For men: UR 126.14, OBC 126.13, EWS 124.67, SC 120.62 and ST 117.17. For women: UR 125.99, OBC 125.96, EWS 124.37, SC 119.30 and ST 116.73.

Is the SSC GD cut-off out of 160 or 100?

Out of 160. The CBE has 80 questions of 2 marks each, and the cut-off is given in normalised marks on that scale.

What are the minimum qualifying marks in SSC GD?

30% (48 marks) for UR, 25% (40 marks) for OBC and EWS, and 20% (32 marks) for all other categories.

Is the 2026 cut-off the final cut-off?

No. It is the cut-off for the PET/PST call. The final cut-off comes with the final result after the physical test, medical examination and document verification, and it will be the same or higher for each seat.

Why is the OBC or EWS cut-off higher than UR in some states?

Reserved-category candidates who score high enough take UR seats. If a category has few seats of its own and many strong candidates, its cut-off can end up above UR, as happened for OBC men in Madhya Pradesh and EWS women in Haryana.

What score is safe for SSC GD 2027?

For UR candidates, aim for 140 or more in Rajasthan and Haryana, 135 or more in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, and 130 or more in Bihar. These targets sit just above the 2025 final cut-offs and should be checked again once the 2027 vacancies are out.
